Meet Dr. Eric Payne

Dr. Payne is board certified in plastic surgery and he has had extensive training in both craniofacial and reconstructive plastic surgery. He is passionate, results driven, and believes in offering the highest quality medical treatment possible.

His extensive training began at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Following the completion of his medical degree, he began five years of training in General Surgery at Texas Tech University Health Science Center at El Paso, TX. Dr. Payne then moved to Houston to complete a two-year fellowship in reconstructive plastic surgery at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in the Texas Medical Center. From this experience, Dr. Payne was able to increase his surgical skills on a microsurgical level, and is able to treat a variety of patients ranging from pediatric to adults. After completing training in Houston, Dr. Payne had the opportunity to perform another fellowship in Dallas under the subspecialty of craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery.

During your consultation, we will go over your medical history and ensure you are healthy enough for surgery. Dr. Payne will also examine your ears, discuss your goals and explain the specific techniques that he will use to achieve your desired results.

At what age can otoplasty be performed?

Otoplasty is suitable for both children and adults, but is one of the only cosmetic procedures that can safely be performed on patients as young as 5 years old.

Will there be visible scarring?

Otoplasty incisions are placed behind the ears, where they're completely hidden. Dr. Payne's surgical expertise ensures minimal scarring and well-concealed incisions that heal beautifully.

How long is the recovery process?

Most patients can return to work or school within a week. A protective headband will be required for sleeping during the initial healing phase to protect your ears from injury.
